GLADIATOR SOUNDTRACK

Gladiator Soundtrack info is here to bring you information on the Gladiator Soundtrack. Gladiator is a 2000 film directed by Ridley Scott and starring Russell Crowe. The film is an historical epic; renowned composer, Hans Zimmer, composed the musical composition.
While editing the film, director Ridley Scott made massive use of classical operatic temp music to see how well an evocative score would mine the picture for emotion. After the picture was locked, the work print was handed over to Hans Zimmer who took cues from the temp score and created something wildly modern, despite the old school temp soundtrack. Hans Zimmer is responsible for many signature compositions over the last 20 years with his work including the current Pirates film and much of Michael Bays Cannon (such as the Rock, the Armageddon).
What follows is a review of the soundtrack: Oh my god, I wish I could have bought this soundtrack in the theater right after watching Gladiator. The music was so evocative of the times; I can almost see the images in my head just by listening to the music. Hans Zimmer was the composer for the movie and packed it full of rousing passages and sweeping epic audios capes. I give this soundtrack a 10 out 10! If you liked Braveheart or Legends of the fall, then you will love this soundtrack.
